TANMAN SINKS QUEENS

Queens were brought back down to earth after their cup triumph as a Lyle header shortly after half-time keeps them firmly at the foot of the table. Queens had a good first half but failed to take their chances and paid the penalty when they fell behind on 48 minutes when former Palmy favourite Lyle got on the end of a Swankie free-kick to beat Corr with a firm header. Queens tried hard to get into the game with Scally driving them on but they couldn't break down a resolute home defence. Queens are now really in the relegation mire and a win against Partick Thistle next week at Palmy is a must.
