Weatherston Seals It For Queens

Substitute David Weatherston's superb solo goal handed Queen of the South victory over Partick Thistle in a tense battle at Palmerston.
The visitors held the upper hand in the first half but Queens missed chances through Kean and Tosh to secure an interval lead.
Queens came more info the game in the second half and Harris missed an easy chance from close in. Meanwhile Roy in the Queens goal was having a superb game and repeatedly kept his side in the game with some breathtaking handling.
Weatherston made the breakthrough in 82 minutes when he picked the ball from a Holmes pass and ran in on goal before slipping a shot through the legs of goalkeeper Jon Tuffey.
