Seaman beaten
All this hype surrounding a vastly overated English team is finally over as ten men Brazil moved into the World Cup SEMIS with goals from Rivaldo and Ronaldinho. England were gifted the opening goal when Owen took advantage of a blunder in the Brazilian defence. England were far from convincing though and surrendered an equaliser on half-time through Rivaldo after Ronaldho had carved open the English defence. Ronaldinho scored the winner with a deceptive cross cum shop which confused Seamen in the English goal. Brazil were reduced to 10 men when Ronaldinho was sent off but the Samba men held on for a comfortable and famous victory over a disappointing and at times outclassed England.
