Palmy boss Gordon Chisolm is in confident mood as Queens entertain Livingston in the first round of the ALBA Challenge Cup.

Livingston have just announced they are to go into administartion but this counts for nothing and it will be a tough cup-tie with no qurater expected or given. Queens, although hardly convincing have had a successful pre-season workout and the fans will be keen to see what life is like without Steve Dobbie. Much will be expected of Kean and Weatherston with new signing Holmes expected to provide the physical edge in the penalty area. There are however potetntial goals from other areas with Tosh,Burns and NcLaren on their day capable of scoring.

Our defence is the key with Jim Thomson expected to be absent and we also have two new goalkepeers. Our new club Captain Lilley will have to steady his troops at the back and make sure we don't concede soft goals like last season.

It should be a tight one with Queens having the Home advantge and perhaps edging it by the odd goal.
