3g Astro Turf Pitches For Dumfries And Galloway

Several state of the art 3G astro turf sports piches have been planned for Dumfries and Galloway at a cost of around half a million pounds each.
The pitches will be built at Stranraer Academy,Dumfries Crichton Campus and Galabank the Home of Annan Athletic. A decision for a location in the Stewartry has still to be decided.
The decision to build the pitch at Stranraer Academy in preference to Stair Park will disappoint Stranraer Football Club but it is understood the 2nd Division club will have access to the facilities.
The whole project is being funded the Scottish Sports Council along with Dumfries and Galloway Council.
