Annan Athletic officials have announced that the annual Annan Tournament may be scrapped this year after Partick Thistle decided to withdraw. Officials are desperately trying to attract a Junior club to enter the two day event which is staged at Galabank.

The Tournament was quite popular amongst Queens fans and provided a good source of income for Annan. Queens decided not to take part this season with Kenny Brannigan deciding on a series of more competitive friendlies against Premier League opposition instead.
