FULL STRENGTH QUEENS AIM FOR THE TOP AGAIN

Struggling, managerless St Mirren visit Palmerston on Wednesday evening to face a virtually full strength Queens side whose recent injury problems seemed to have eased somewhat. There is even news that Sean O'Connor is almost back to fitness and may appear on the bench. This is an ideal chance for Queens to regain top spot in the league and also improve their goal average. Queens must really fancy their chances and treat the fans to few goals but as has been seen in similar circumstances in the past the game often turns into a dour struggle. St. Mirren will be no pushover and with the mounting speculation about John Connolly's future at Palmerston, it could be a tense affair. I predict a win for Queens but it will be close. I sincerely hope the fans on the terracing make it clear to JC that they want him to stay. Other news is that Craig Coates and Terry Ross have been released and we all wish them luck.
