May play next week
evidence that suggests information we hear
from papers, websites is not very accurate. After speaking to Joe McAlpine before the game on saturday he was saying that Connolly is hoping he will be back next week for the crunch game against Hamilton Accies. Last Fridays standard said that he was out for the rest of the season and the official queens site said that he was a 'Long-Term' injury doubt. Anyone at the game on saturday would have noticed O'Boyle running/jogging around the pitch in very little discomfort which would suggest his calf strain is not that bad, so I would not be surprised if he was included in the squad for saturday.

Out for rest of season
Another player who has been hampered by a hamstring injury this season is central defender Derek Allan. Before 'The Wasps' game on saturday he said that he would be very surprised if he played again this season and he was just trying to get fit for next season to challenge for a place. However, that will surely be a difficult task after another solid season by Andy Aitken. He also seemed to be running around the pitch with relative ease but said that he was nowhere near match fitness. "we will be happy with a point" he said which seemed worrying because the team may have been going out in a negative frame of mind.

There seems to have been a lot of transfer
not interested!
rumours surrounding the club lately. Ronnie Bradford ridiculed the reports suggesting that Falkirk manager Alex Totten was going to take over as manager. This was soon played down when it was found out talks were already going on in trying to extend John Connolly's contract. Another report that was soon 'played-down' was the reports that Queens were offering players 1,000-a-week wages. However, the club did admit having interest in ex-hearts and current St Mirren star, Jose Quitongo. However, the deal never seemed to materialise for some reson, personally I think the club would struggle to meet the financial criteria for this transfer.

Staying
Two other players who have been linked with movs to Queens in recent week sare Stuart Callaghan and Andy Smith. Accies' midfielder Callaghan impressed Connolly with his displays against the Doonhamers this season. Notably the 3-1 defeat at the Ballast stadium when he scored twice. The club later admitted that they have not persued negotiations but me have a look later in the year. Hopefully once we gain promotion he may re-consider. Vetran Raith Forward Smith is a certainty to leave Starks Park at the end of the season after the side have just been relegated and are planning major squad changes. He was quoted in the papers as saying, "I'll probably be the first to leave".
