JC GETS THE HEAVE FROM PERTH

John Connolly
Former Queens boss John Connolly was sacked by St Johnstone today having completed almost a year of his two year contract. Saints chairman Geoff Brown stated that something had to be done after the Perth's side worst season in 16 years. There will be little sympathy for Connolly amongst Queens fans after he turned his back on Palmy last year to manage full-time St Johnstone. I personally thought it was not a wise move at the time as he could have carved out a lucrative career at Palmerston although he had many critics. St Johnstone were obviously not prepared to give Connolly any more time and swiftly moved in before the season ends. There is speculation that perhaps McCall who was dumped by Dundee United may take over as manager at Perth.
