JIM THOMSON IS THE TRAVEL CLUB QUEENS PLAYER OF THE YEAR

Jim Thomson was named as Queens player of the year by the Doonhamers Travel Club at their end of season dance at the Lochside Labour Club on Saturday evening. A huge turnout of members and guests enjoyed a superb evening well organised by the Travel Club Commitee under the chairmanship of Ross Corbett. Several players and Officials were also present and mingled with the fans. The prizes were presented by Club Members Ross Corbett and Pamela Davers.

The awards were as follows:

Young Player of the Year : 1. Paul Burns 2. Derek Lyle 3. Stephen Payne

Junior Members Player of the Year : 1. Jim Thomson 2. Eric Paton 3. David McNiven

Away Day Player of the Year : 1. Jim Thomson 2. Brian McColligan 3. Gary Wood

Goal of the Season: Eric Paton for his cracker at Ross County
