Last updated : 01 June 2008 By Queens MAD

Lochar Thistle Youth Football Club opened its doors to the public at Heathall on Saturday and ex provost Kenny Cameron was there to open the splendid Clubhouse and changing rooms.

Club Secretary Trevor Wilson proudly showed me round the wonderful facilities which were built using lottery money, public funds and fund raising activities organsied by people.

The facility provides coaching for over 200 girls and boys in the age group from under 7 to under 17. There is already a waiting list for many age groups and Queens Chairman David Rae was present chatting to parents and youths.

Lochar Thistle at present provide the ball boys at Palmerston and many were present at Hampden for the Semi and Cup Finals.

Here are a few images of a memorable day:-
