ABOUT TO LEAVE-BUT WHERE ?
As John O'Neill and Brian Mc Laughlan seem set to leave Queens there is speculation as to which club they will end up at. There is a theory that perhaps Airdrie United may swoop in and sign both players IF they are promoted. John O'Neill works for the same company as Derek Anderson along with Derek Allen and one begins to wonder what exactly is going on. Could it be that Anderson,O'Neill,Mc Laughlan and Allen could end up at Airdrie United on Saturday evening if Brechin fail to gather the vital win which will secure promotion? Our bitter rivals Stranraer may have a say in such matters as they fight for survival this Saturday against Airdrie United at Stair Park. Meanwhile O'Neill's behaveiour in all this has been deplorable. He has not been available for team selection whereas McLaughlan has been ever present for training. All this has cast a shadow at the end of a successful season and our magnificent fans expect better but at the end of the day it is all about money. I for one am only interested in players for instance like Bowser etc. who really want to play for us and do not put greed, money and self interest first. O'Neill made himself a folk hero at Palmerston but a lot of fans including myself willl be rather disappointed in his seemingly disregard for Queen of the South Football Club and it's fans
