PATON AND JACONELLI RULED OUT FOR AIRDRIE CLASH

Queen's David Mc Niven
Paton and Jaconelli will both be missing from the Queens for clash with Airdrie United at New Broomfield on Saturday. Paton has a hip problem and has been to see a specialist. Jaconelli has not recovered from a thigh strain. Warren Pearson who is standing in for manager Iain Scott, who is on holiday, however has penty of options. I would expect Wood and Mc Niven to be given the nod up front with Burns and Gibson giving us width on the flanks. Burns and Gibson gave Chester City the runaround last Saturday and were very impressive. We should be OK at the back with Scott well supported by Thomson,Reid,Scott and English. We have options in midfield with Bowey,Bagan,McColligan,Mc Laughlan and Payne. It should however be a tough battle against an Airdrie team with home advantage. Owen Coyle will be the big dangerman along with Mark Roberts. I would expect Queens to win by the odd goal with David Mc Niven among the goals. We have of course the extra man in our magnificent support and I expect nearly 1,000 to make the short journey North.
