PLAYED TWO LOST TWO - GOALS FOR TWO - GOALS AGAINST 6

Queens have made one of the worst possible starts to the season being dumped out of the Challenge Cup by a fairly ordinary Stranraer and then going down to St Johnstone last Saturday in the league. To fair we have not had the luxury of home advantage in both games but it is painfully obvious to everyone concerned that we don't have a settled team and our defence is giving away some schoolboy goals. Our forwards don't seem to be finding the net either but in recent signing Wood we have a proven goalscorer. Thomson hopefully will be back and we could see Paton moving into his usual place in midfield. There is no doubt we have the quality and hopefully it will all gel together tomorrow. The fans must play their part and I expect the home end to give it the fully welly from the start. Ross have been scoring a lot of goals of late but it will be interesting to see how they perform away from home in front of a hostile crowd and facing slightly better quality than Brechin and Dumberton. Difficult to predict this one but if Queens hold steady at the back and Paton with Bowey get a grip in the middle of the park then we could be celebrating a resounding victory come Saturday evening.

THOMO MAY BE BACK TOMORROW
