It has been announced by Queens that manager Ian McCall will leave the club after Saturday's home match against Airdrie. McCall joined Queens in 2005 and kept Queens in Division 1 for two seasons with a part-time team on a limited budget.

Chairman David Rae speaking on Radio Solway this morning, would not elaborate but confirmed that McCall would be leaving. Mr Rae explained there were certain details which were confidential and could not be shared with the media however QueensMAD understands that McCall had put several proposals to the board concerning the future of Queens but due to financial constraints Mr Rae and his directors could not share the manager's ambition and his contract was terminated by mutual consent.

Despite McCall having had his share of critics, most fans will be devastated by the news as it looked like some sort of stability was being achieved at the club. This news could not have come at a worse time for Queens as next season looks like it will the most competitive ever and any incoming new manager will have a mammoth task in building for next season.

There are already rumours of certain players about to leave the club and one is not certain what reaction we will get from the players and fans alike on Saturday.

Meanwhile QueensMAD thanks Ian McCall for all he has done for the club and wish him luck in the future.
