QUEENS FANS GUTTED AS A LEGEND LEAVES PALMY

JOHN CONNOLLY

Most Queens fans were hugely disappointed yesterday when the news broke that manager John Connelly was departing Palmerston to take over at St Johnstone. John spent four years with us and delivered the 2nd Division Championship and Challenge Cup much to the delight of long suffering Queens fans some of whom had waited for over half a century for such success. Although John did not enjoy blanket popularity amongst certain fans and players he will arguably go down in Queens folklore as our greatest manager. He made it plain to everyone that it was his ambition to manage a full-time club and when the time came to move to his spiritual home he jumped at the chance. The Queens MAD site wish John and his wife the very best of luck in their new home in Perth. Here are some of the fans reactions to John's departure.
