QUEENS GO DOWN FIGHTING AT DINGWALL

Last updated : 27 October 2003 By Duke Of Galloway

Queens long winning streak came to an end in a dour encounter at Victoria Park,Dingwall. Queens had the better of the first half and made several openings but a stuffy County defence survuved. Only one goal was going to win this one and County were the lucky ones with Sean Webb doing the business on 57th minutes after a free-kick. County put men behind the ball for the remainder of the match and managed to grind out a result. Queens can have no complaints as you must put your chances away. Anyway we are still top and have a real chance against Hibs in the cup during the week. All is not lost as we also have a chance to consolidate our postion in the league next Saturday against St Johnstone.
