QUEENS HEAD FOR PERTH WITH STAIR PARK HANGOVER

Last updated : 08 August 2003 By Duke Of Galloway
Queens head to Perth tomorrow for their first league fixture of the season against a confident St Johnstone who are now clear favourites for promotion. Queens will be suffering from a Stair Park hangover where they gave away two cheap goals, a repetition of which will be diasasterous against a quality side like the Saints. According to rumbings from Palmy during the week JC is not happy with his defence and is looking for further cover. This would indicate that he is not happy with Hodge and I would remind JC that he got rid of both Anderson and Crawford who in my opinion were every bit as good as Hodge if not better. I am not confident that Queens can get anything from tomorrow's game despite the acquisition of Wood from Berwick. I will be delighted with a share of the points but I feel Queens will be right up against it unless JT and company can get their act together at the back. The Doonhamers Travel Club Banner will be unveiled at Perth tomorrow. The Banner has been specially made by Glasgow Flag makers STEVENSON FLAGS and is quite impressive.
