QUEENS IN CONFIDENT MOOD AS THEY FACE THE LOONS

Paton - fit again
Forfar LOONS visit Palmy tomorrow in the League Cup and the winner faces the prospect of a tie against a premier club and a big pay cheque. The news from the training ground is good with the injury crisis beginning to ease. We may even have big Sean back by November and Paton is now fit again. Meanwhile Forfar's main man Tosh is injured and not available. I expect the boys, after a full week's rest to bounce back and a comprehensive victory is on the cards. The scramble for Cup Final tickets is building up and all quite unnecessary in my view if the SFL chose a proper venue. Love Street or Firhill would be ideal but there are politics playing behind the scenes so it looks like boring old Broadwood is going to stand. I am rather disappointed at the silence from Palmy on the issue. I understand neither Queens or Brechin are happy with the venue but has anyone forwarded an official complaint ? We can't seem to organise anything in this country and this is reflected in the sorry state of our national game on the eve of which our national football team may well be about to put to the sword by a team of fishermen from the Faroe Islands.
