KINNIBURGH-ON LOAN SIGNING
Queens will be hopeful of consolidating their position at the top of Division One when they tackle a young Ayr side on Sunday afternoon at Palmy. The Honest Men had enjoyed a mini revival until last Saturday when Inverness gave them a right going over and their manager Cambell Money knows they will have a dour struggle in avoiding relegation. Two of his most experienced players Steve Ferguson and Mark Campbell are out due to to injury and he has had to bring in Motherwell defender Willie Kinniburgh on loan from Motherwell. However all this talk about an under strength Ayr side counts for absolutely nothing as Queens must produce a good performance and a resounding victory in front of the Palmy faithful. Apart from Sean O'Connor, who looks like he will be out for a few weeks, there are no injury worries in the Queens camp. Lyle looks like he is on the way back after hitting a hatrick recently in the reserves but I think he will start on the bench with Burke and Wood up front. The rest of team picks itself however JC has various options in mid-field and is spoilt for choice. I will be very surprised if Queens don't record a handsome win and three valuable points.JC has once again appealed to the fans to give the team maximum backing and another big crowd is expected although the support for the Honest Men will be somewhat reduced due to the Ayr Races.
