Annand - will have to be watched

Queens have no major injury problems as they prepare for Saturday's clash with the honest men of Ayr United at Palmy. A large crowd is expected for the visit of Gordon Dalziel's young team. Like most teams Gordon has to cut his budget and has shed some of his overpaid professionals. He has brought in several youngsters with varying degrees of success but he still has some old campaigners with bags of experience namely James Grady,Paul Lovering and Eddie Annand. The latter bagged 21 goals for the honest men and if he plays Queens will have to keep a close eye on him. Queens looked tired and jaded against Dumbarton on Tuesday and will have to up the tempo if they expect to get anything from this game. I expect Goram to be back in goal with the successful pairing of Aitken and Allan in defence. The midfield must be worrying JC and will he play O'Neill from the start ? The Palmy faithful should also be able to have a good look at on-loan striker Shields. It should be an interesting contest and I think Queens will force a draw but with a large vociferous crowd I could be wrong.
