BOWSER-READY FOR CALAEY
Queens can go into tomorrow's top of the league clash with Inverness Caledonian full of confidence after their magnificent run which has taken them to second place in Scottish League Division One. When we left Stair Park back in August after our disappointing exit from the Bells Cup at the hands of bitter rivals Stranraer, who would have thought we would now be sitting second in the league and the prospect of a glittering CIS Cup tie with Premier Legaue Hibernian coming up at the end of the month. What is most satisfying is that we have acheived our success on merit and with a part-time team and have left most of the so called football experts and bookies with egg on their faces. The bookies really lost the plot when they offered Brechin shorter odds than Queens for the Championship. John Connolly and his backroom staff deserve the credit as our players have responded with some magnificent displays. Tomorrow we will be up against an excellent team very well managed by John Robertson and they must be the favourites to lift the championship. On paper thay are a formidable outfit but JC has built up a tremendous team spirit and Caley will have to fight all the way for the points. A lot will depend on Queens putting their chances away and if Burke and O'Connor are on song then the Doonhamers will be in with a shout. Our defence with Kaiser Jim Thomson and his troops in great form will be more than capable of holding the eager Inverness forwards but we must keep our discipline even if we go a goal behind. As usual Bowey and Bagan in midfield will battle for every ball so Inverness are in for a hot time. I expect Queens ,with a large noisy Palmy crowd behind them, to just edge out Caley but it will be close. Reid,Burke ans O'Connor are reported as carrying slight injuries but no doubt Kenny will have them patched up in time for the kick-off. Also speculation that Livingstone are interested in poaching JC, has been dismissed by the man himself as sheer RUBBISH. Good on you John - STAY WITH US AND LEAD US TO THE PROMISED LAND!

LETS TURN UP THE VOLUME TOMORROW AND CHEER ON THE QUEENS TO A MEMORABLE VICTORY
AND PERHAPS ITV WILL REPORT - THEY'LL BE DANCING IN THE STREETS OF QUEEN OF THE SOUTH TONIGHT.
