QUEENS REVEAL LOCATION OF NEW FOOTBALL ACADEMY

Queens New football Academy ? - Not quite but at least we have a new training facility at Maxwelltown High School next to Lochside Council Estate. It is a useful facility with good grass picthes and the ground where up until recently Maxwelltown FP played their Southern League matches. I am familiar with the site as I live within a stones throw of the area and on a recent visit I found the pitches in excellent condition. It seems that the pitches are not used much these days. This will be a welcome move for the Palmy groundsman as his beloved turf will be saved for match days. I understand that the players will not have changing/shower facilities at the school but will change at Palmy and then pop over in the Mini bus. The facility however has no floodlights so Queens will have to provide them.
