RAITH PROVIDE A STIFF TEST FOR QUEENS AT PALMY TOMORROW

Last updated : 12 September 2003 By Duke Of Galloway

Queens face a stiff test tomorrow against promoted Raith Rovers who have invested heavily in some foreign players. Ratih with their full-time set up must be one of the favourites for promotion and from reports it seems they were unlucky against Falkirk recently, the Bairns coming out on top courtesy of a penalty kick Raith also had two players dismissed from the field in that match and this may work to Queens advantage tomorrow. The Kirkcaldy side are expected to bring a large support through to Dumfries so it should be a good atmosphere. Meanwhile it is reported in the local press that both Paton and O'Connor are struggling with injury which may open the door for some of our fringe players. I saw Coates and Jaconelli perform well recently in the reserves and one of them will surely break through into the first team. I expect Queens to gain at least a draw tomorrow and surprise all those merchants of doom.
O'CONNOR - INJURY WORRY ?
