REID HOPES TO BE READY TO FACE LEAGUE LEADERS

There are major concerns about Queens defensive line up as they face league leaders Clyde at Palmerston on Saturday. Queens main anchor man Thomson has a kidney infection and may be out for over a month and his partner Reid is struggling with a hamstring problem. Queens may have to rely on the makeshift partnership of Wood and Aitken to face an on form Clyde. If Reid makes it I would think he will partner Wood with Aitken moving to the left back berth. Thomson's illness is indeed cruel luck on Queens at such a crucial part of the season. Queens must win on Saturday to stay in touch with the leaders and I expect the Palmy crowd to get really behind the team. I would not be surprised if Jaconelli were on from the start and who knows this may be the stage for him to excel. It should be another day of drama at Palmy and I'm taking Queens to bounce back after the Love Street disappointment to beat Clyde by the odd goal.
