SFL HAVING A RETHINK ON CHALLENGE CUP VENUE

Last updated : 05 September 2002 By Duke Of Galloway

Rumours on the streets and also reports in todays Dumfries and Galloway Standard suggest that the Scottish Footbal League is having second thoughts on the choice of Broadwood in Cumbernauld as a venue for the Challenge Cup Final between Queens and Brechin on Sunday 20th of October. The capacity of 8,000 does not seem adequate and also the dearth of pubs and clubs on what should be a day of celebration is a concern. Surprisingly Palmerston has been very quiet on the subject and all Chairman Ronnie Bradford was prepared to say that it was in the hands of the SFL. Lets hope someone can get their act together and inform the fans what is happening !!!!
