With ticket sales now past 7,000 there looks like a huge turnout of Queens fans at Hampden on the 12th April. A huge fleet of something like 80 coaches,a special train and hundreds of cars will converge on Hampden Park for the Scottish cup semi-final between Queen of the South and Aberdeen. Fans from further afield will arrive by flights into Glasgow Airport with reports that some diehards are coming in from as far away as Thailand and New Zealand.
At least one pub is opening at 0730 in Dumfries to cater for the early starters and the Queens Bar at Palmerston is laying on a huge thrash when the fans return win or lose. For some of our more senior supporters which includes myself, this may be the last time we will see our beloved Queens have a shot at glory so it will be a day to cherish. I hope everyone has a great day and I hope we give the Dons a run for their money.
