Queens will be hoping for three points against St Mirren at Love Street on Saturday to keep up their challenge at the top of the table. With Clyde the visitors at Palmy next week Queens have a chance of making up ground on their rivals but it will be difficult against the Paisley side who must be smarting after their shock reverse at Brechin last week. Queens will have striker Gary Wood back but defender Brian Reid is still crocked after coming off with what looked like ham-string problems against Raith last week. Andy Aitken should be able to slot in to central defence in place of Reid with Mc Alpine restored to the left back position, but the concern is whether Queens can find their goal-scoring
GARY WOOD
ouch which has been lacking in recent games. If Queens fail to find the net then they will be right up against it and I'm sure St Mirren can profit with the dangerous Gilles one to watch for at dead ball situations. We have still to see the benefit of wide players Mc Mullen and Payne so perhaps Saturday is the day for them to turn it on but O'Connor and Wood MUST put the chances away.
